Leap Day, Paris 2020 — A photographer walks into a bar and meets a novelist on the eve of a global pandemic. One year later, they’re married and begin a life in Paris. The idea of Kingdom Anywhere begins to take shape.

Kingdom Anywhere is a love story, a community, and an independent publisher of uncommon stories in Paris.

Built by the photographer Augusta Sagnelli and her husband, the novelist Samuél Lopez-Barrantes, Kingdom Anywhere stands for quality over quantity, equitable publishing, and storytelling with radical authenticity. Publishing just three books a year, Kingdom Anywhere uplifts uncommon voices via tailored first-editions, singular books that readers and authors alike will want to hold and revisit when they’re old and grey.

Our titles include:

The Requisitions, Samuél Lopez-Barrantes (2024)

SPILL: Poems, Mitalee Mehta (2024)

A Tentative Gardener’s Guide to The Evening: Poems, John Sannaee (March 2025)
